GENESIS ELECTRIFIED G80 AWARDED THE IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK PLUS DESIGNATION

Genesis continues to deliver pure excellence and the highest standard of safety features that are recognized by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Genesis’s Electrified G80 earns TOP SAFETY PICK PUS designation for 2022. For the fourth year in a row, Genesis’s entire lineup of eligible vehicles has been awarded the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK PUS. This includes the GV60, GV70, GV80, G70 (only applies to vehicles built after June 2021), G80 and G90.

The Electrified G80 is equipped with cutting-edge features that help anticipate and alert the driver of any potential risks, allowing the driver to feel in complete control. Features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Blind-Spot View Monitor help avoid crashes and provide protection when crashes do occur. All Genesis models include the latest safety and driver assistance technologies such as Genesis Connected Services and Connected Care — with no expiration date. Genesis Connected Care includes feature such as Automatic Collision Notification, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, and SOS Emergency Assistance when the vehicle has access to a cellular network connection.

When judging Genesis’s Electrified G80, it excelled in all six of IIHS crashworthiness evaluations. These categories included: the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, original side, roof strength and head restraint tests.

All of the advanced safety systems that are crafted into each Genesis model enabled the Electrified G80 to earn the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK PUS award, along with Genesis’ entire lineup of vehicles.
