FAMILIAR FACES TAKE NEW LEADERSHIP ROLES AT GENESIS OF ATLANTA

With 2022 ending in the unexpected loss of our leader, Jimmy Ellis and our founder Jim Ellis, 2023 is beginning with many deserved promotions that will help Jim Ellis Automotive Group to continue the legacy started by these two amazing men.

Scott Johnson has been named the new vice president overseeing Jim Ellis Automotive’s Genesis, Hyundai, Kia, and Volkswagen dealerships. During a recent restructuring and round of promotions, former Genesis Vice President, Wesley Ellis was named president and CEO of Jim Ellis Automotive Group.

Scott has been with the Jim Ellis Automotive Group for 13 years. After starting in sales, he worked his way up as a finance manager, pre-owned manager, and has also served as general manager of Jim Volkswagen of Chamblee, Jim Ellis Hyundai, and Genesis of Atlanta.

Scott’s first job was detailing cars at a used car dealership in Orlando. After attending the University of Central Florida, he spent a few years working in real estate and wholesale mortgage lending before joining the Jim Ellis Automotive Group, looking for the opportunity to excel in a performance-based industry. When not working, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and their twins at the lake.

Stepping up as general manager of Jim Ellis Hyundai and Genesis of Atlanta is Frank Dickenson. Frank’s love of cars started at a young age while growing up in Augusta. At age 16, his parents gifted him at 1972 Ford F100 pickup truck, which he lovingly restored and drove for over a decade.

Frank has been with the Jim Ellis Automotive Group for nine years and has worked in sales and sales management at our Audi, Buick GMC, Volkswagen and Hyundai Genesis stores before stepping into the role of general manager. He is excited to lead Jim Ellis Hyundai and Genesis of Atlanta with the goal of helping team members focus on their strengths rather than their weaknesses in order to create personal and professional growth.
